Synthetic stones

Synthetic corundum

The rich reds and pinks of rubies and blues of sapphires have held fascination since gemstones were first used for jewellery. Synthetic corundum can be created in virtually all colours. The blue variety is called synthetic sapphire and the red variety is called synthetic ruby.

Durability

Rated 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Synthetic ruby and synthetic sapphire are the hardest stones except for the diamond. This, combined with excellent toughness, makes them very durable and ideal for all types and styles of jewellery.

Love your stone!

Care for your synthetic stone by avoiding rough handling. When you're not wearing it, store it separately from your other pieces to avoid scratches. Clean it with lukewarm, soapy water and gentle brushing in circular motions.
